As many of you are probably already aware, I hate filling my blog up with updates and not chapters, even more so than I hate going back over what I have already written. Updates always sound like excuses to me, and there isn’t really anything good about excuses.
My brother likes to talk a lot (which is good in helping him through this tough time) and the kids are often very active, so my single track mind finds it extremely difficult to focus on writing with the additionals. An example of this is that from 50% of chapter 13, I have only been able to end up writing an average of 500words/day. The rest of the time I haven’t been able to concentrate. Chapter 14 is planned already, and once I get started on it tomorrow, I will update the top of this post with the status. I hope I can aim for 1000words/day as I want to try push myself, and considering I will turn poor if I don’t write very soon, I really need to drop a few novels and do even less reading.
That is all. I also have a short novel recommendation for anyone who hasn’t read it yet. It is Demon Girl ~ Tale of a Lax Demon ~ (Link to novel updates by clicking on the text). It is truly an ingenious piece of work, albeit being slightly short. It only have 4 volume of approximately 16 chapters each, with a continuation of 89 chapters (It was a redo of the sequal, but I’m not as much of a fan of it because I was reading google translate of the raws and despite understanding it, I found the ingenuity lacking for a short story). The translation of the first story is currently into the fourth volume, so there is a decent amount of reading material.
The ideal part of the above story which truly sets it apart is the unlikely combination of its cuteness, fluffiness, and the occasional texas chainsaw massacre. Well, that is actually a little vague because I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t read it before, but I strongly encourage that you give it a try. P.S The novel is hosted at moonbunnycafe, and they can occasionally have really annoying ads, at least on a tablet anyway.
Im sure a lot of you know about The King’s Avatar, a novel that still has chapters being translated, I would also recommend reading it. But I’m sure a lot of people didn’t know is that there are raw and subbed animations being aired!I highly recommend reading and watching this.

I too know how hard it is to not binge read enjoyable novels, seeing as I did this to yours till the fifth volume of EO(Like 3 times). Keep up the good work!

I am actually a big fan of that novel! The interpersonal relationships in the series are inspired and ingenuous. I know of the anime but haven’t been able to get into it yet for some reason.

Personally I think they did a great job with the animation. They did a great job incorporating each characters personality into something visual (Besides the Muanhua). Its great anyways. And if you liked The King’s Avatar I’m sure you would or do like Zhan Long.

You said in this update that chapter 13 of CoE is finished but I don’t see it anywhere on the site. Did you forget to actually link it in the main chapter list or am I just blind?

Give him some time….
Chap 13 is finished but that doesn’t mean that it will be up as is, maybe it’s currently being edited or the one in charge of editing is still busy and can’t edit yet.
Just chill and wait….

If the kids are old enough you might let them read what you’ve already done and then discuss it with them, this could spare you the need of re-reading your own work, occupy their mind for a bit ( Cause I know for a fact that when moms and dads are fighting, as a kid the last thing you want is time to think about why they are fighting) and give you an edge on what reader think of your novels ( and by that i don’t mean if they like it or not but more if they understand bits in other ways. Side bonus it could even give you new inspiration for next chapters 🙂
