The morning sun rose above the horizon, the hazy rays piercing through the early morning winter fog that blanketed the city. Despite calling it a city though, it barely qualified as one in the outdated classification standard with a population of 60,000. Compared to other cities around the world, it was very rural.
Cars had already filled the roads and the city was coming to life for the day with the characteristic honking of angry and impatient drivers. Pedestrians were climbing and aboard and alighting public transport en masse and stores were getting ready to open their doors.
Among this place where people moved about like ants in a nest, a girl who appeared 11-12 years old stood out. With hair that was platinum blonde halfway before becoming a bloody crimson to start, she had long pointed ears that jutted out the side, and blood-red tipped nails that had veins passing through them.
