Volume 5 Now Available

It’s currently incredibly late for me, but Volume 5 has finally finished Amazon’s reviews and is now available for purchase. All the readers who have been following for quite some time, I’m sure you realized chapter 35 hadn’t been published as I always release the completed book a week before releasing the last chapter.

For all of you that can’t wait another seven days, you can follow the link at the bottom of the post to Amazon.

Once again, I have forgotten to add myself in as a contributor and only the editors show under the book contributors. I, however, do come up as the publisher. There is no changes to the book, it just mean it won’t show up on my Amazon Author’s Page until the publishing finalizes in Amazon’s system and I can update it.

Another chapter of CotE coming tomorrow, along with a few updates to the other pages. I have also been thinking about creating a map (or maps) for the additional continents from Volume 6 onwards. It is a pain because I long since lost the original photoshop file with all the layers of the original map, so I will have to come up with a solution. But that’s alright, despite being inefficient, I am quite a good problem solver! ^.^

I will leave it at that. I hope you all enjoy! ^.^

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed it! ^.^

I actually had a dream last night that it got ten two and a half and three star reviews in a row and people saying horrible things. The worst, and I remember vividly, was “Strike three: Strike one was the system, strike two was the world, and now strike three is the characters.” I literally woke up and cried out, “But it’s the fifth book! You can’t call strike three on the fifth book!!” I then realized it was a dream and was glad I live alone after shouting that out.

  1. It was an honor helping with the editing. I can’t wait to help edit Volume 6!

Did Volume 1 ever get that Edited Release in December?

  2. Good book might end up buying this volume too, I have bought all the others. On a side note you where talking about making maps. I am trying to write a fantasy novel and before I started I wanted a map so I looked and found a great website for fantasy mapmakers called the cartographers guild. They have lots of tutorials and stuff there, I use gimp because it is free and (kind of) easy to use.

  3. I just bought the book and finished it! Even though I’ve been reading the chapters here, I couldn’t help but reread everything….

I will say I was worried when Verde was so gung-ho about killing a certain someone in the book… But the battle was so amazing! And those last pages tho!!!!

    1. I just looked up the publishing rights and territories. It’s says it’s available on the UK store. This is linked to the US store. Usually it will redirect you to your store, or some sort of contraption I’m not sure about. Could it be that it won’t let you purchase it from a store outside you region?

This title is available to UK customers only.

…is what it says. On US store it says that they don’t accept my card there :/. I’ll try changing my adress to some hotel in UK.

  4. Finished the book about 3 hours after I got the email saying it was released on Amazon. Loved the book. That was an unfortunate direction for Verde to direct her.. anger? Irritation? But I guess there would be no hard feelings afterwards between friends. Moving on…. I kind of figured that would be the choice Verde would make. I’ve imagined a few funny alternatives for sticking Laurence in. It would be funny if he was somehow forced into one of the less favorable alternatives for his ‘big and strong white knight’ routine. Here’s hoping for something unpleasantly horned (and tailed) or fairy winged.

I noticed that Mason randomly got his creature analysis skill ‘back’ in to bonus chapter again after ‘losing’ it in the intermission chapter with the gas child (“I don’t have an analysis like Lost, but ….”, paraphrased). I noticed that this persisted in the novel as well. You might be able to cover it up by saying he forgot to have it equipped or something and there was no time to fix that in the middle of the fight.

    1. According to Mason’s Character Sheet (from when Mason was Introduced) I don’t think he ever had Creature Analysis…. Unless he obtained it from Hunter’s Eyes reaching Level 36+

      1. Well he had something. He used “Analyze” in Vexl prison on the final boss at the same time as Lost, complains that he doesn’t have analyze when fighting the gas child, and then confirms Lost’s analysis in the mermaid raid…. I can’t say mermaid raid with a straight face. So either something happened in between to whatever he used to ‘analyze’ his opponent or… I can’t really think of a reason otherwise. He’s used an analyze-type skill twice in the series in different chapters…

  5. Hey, just wondering, will you ever give us an update on the entirety of lost’s skills, such as what the current buffs that white warrior is now giving him, his new weapon damage, graels essence buffs, minor fire flame, etc. Now that the white warrior skill is at least level 26 now, I am dying to know just how much that has improved…

If you don’t want to just dump it awkwardly in the middle of the storyline, you could do what some other books do and just have a list of the current stats of the MC at the end of each book. Or else make a section on this site with his current skills/level at the end of each book.
