End Online: Chapter 43

Editors: Dyngari, Templar, Jack Vanatis, Orang, genericIntent
Author’s notes: The final chapter of End Online: Volume 6. Some of you have been waiting a while for this. I have been a little delayed while catching up to schedule, writing 4 chapters of COTE (equivalent to 5 actually) in the past 10 days. Good news is that my current schedule works, so it is reliable! I may fall behind schedule, but I can easily catch back up, and I will also write ahead as I can.
The Chronicle of the Eternal: Volume 2 Paperback Giveaway is still going on as well, make sure you check out the previous post if you are interested.

Chapter 43 – Possession Chase

– Lost –

While chasing the AI swordsman, we unexpectedly don’t encounter any guards along the way. It must have something to do with either the swordsman knowing where they are and avoiding them, or Chronix’s men holding them back, I’m not sure which.

The swordsman is quick, slowly pulling away from Fen, Verde, and myself. He glances over his shoulder at us with an air of smug superiority. Even I can tell that this AI is profoundly arrogant. However, this could be used against him in combat to give us a chance to surprise him and gain the upper hand.We soon escape through the open rear door of the museum that Verde was unable to open in time. As our group exits the door we see the AI casually leaping over one of the walls behind the museum and out of sight, not even bothering to give us a second glance.

“Damn it. Fen, Verde, escape through the streets. I will follow the AI and let you know where he goes.”

End Online Volume 6 Available

I had some considerable troubles getting photoshop to work over the past few days, preventing me from completing the cover art, but I finally managed to solve the problem!

As quite a few people have found already, Volume 6 of End Online is now available at Amazon. You can find it by following this link to Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/End-Online-6-D-Wolfin-ebook/dp/B01KKBC0JC

Here is the full cover art of Volume 6. If I do say so myself, I am getting much better with photoshop! If only I was this good when I started creating the cover art.

For all those wondering, it will be KU in one month from now, just like the rest of the books. And as always, should any problems appear with it being available here too, it will have to be removed from here.

End Online: Chapter 42

Editors: Dyngari, Templar, Jack Vanatis, Orang, genericIntent
Author’s notes: Only one more chapter to go! Well, for all those who have been following my blog for a while, you will know I’m nasty and don’t release the final chapter of a book until 1 week after the book is released. A good thing it is all written! Only pending edits, art and compilation. Also, we are now endonline.net !! ^.^
I fell a little behind on my schedule, but as of today I am up to date again, for chapters at least. I have decided that I will rewrite my schedule on the last day of every month, and plan the following month in its entirety – for all of those interested. I also had a fantastic, and insightful, idea for my fourth series. Far too early to actually write #3 and #4, gotta finish #1 or #2 first, but it’s good to write them down and slowly work on a skeleton for them.

Chapter 42 – Escalating Challenge

– Lost –

“Why are we leaving!? I could have taken him!” Sir Laurence states bravely, puffing out his chest for Verde’s benefit.

“No, you couldn’t. Not alone at least. He is an AI, just like Fen.”

“What!?” Sir Laurence and Verde both cry out in surprise. Gladox seemed to already have figured it out and lightly sighs.

“He is strong, extremely strong. I don’t want to fight him if we don’t have to.”

End Online Chapter 41

Editors: Dyngari, Templar, Jack Vanatis, Orang, genericIntent
Author’s notes: Second chapter release! Also, lots of news! the schedule has been updated (trail #2) to be a little more lax and easy to maintain. For all of you interested, the page link is on the sidebar.
I’ve been meaning to post this as well, but one of my readers has created something incredible. Christoffer R has composed a track for End Online. It is titled “Iceridge”, and if you haven’t guessed it already, is inspired by a winter landscape of ice and snow. I had wanted to create a video for it as it makes an excellent backing track, but I did not have the time. The track is planned to be uploaded to Soundcloud, at which point of time, I will remove it from here and add a link to the track in the End Online ToC. (Now in End Online ToC)
End Online has now been upgraded to a wordpress premium site! This means several things. First, now I will be earning money from the ads on my site instead of wordpress. I have a rough understanding of how it works, but I’m no techwizard. Should any ads redirect you from my site, feature inappropriate content or such, send me an email. It also means I can customize my theme, so you may notice me play around with it over the next day or two.
Lastly, a free custom domain! Unfortunately endonline.com is already taken, but I am currently tossing up between endonline.net , endonline.org , or just keeping it as is. Please follow the link to a poll and vote which you think is better. The most votes will be the final decision – Strawpoll
Considering that this is a double chapter release, please show your support by taking a minute of your time to follow the link and vote for End Online at TopWebFiction.com! Votes are reset weekly so even if you have voted before, please do so again! ^.^

Chapter 41 – For Survival

– Mikhail –

I hope we never have to play the part of Michael and Rood again. I can feel the cold sweat dripping down my forehead as Ralph and I leave Hollis Sylvester’s home. This whole thing was a first for me, as I’m usually a straightforward person, not inclined to such dubious acts as pretending to be from a company I’m not.

Technically speaking, Virtue is an under-the-table affiliate company of ours created solely for the distribution of the Virtual Link, but that doesn’t make it any better. This was the plan Ralph and I came up with after discussing what to do. The only other viable option was to break into the house and steal it; security isn’t very strict in this outer region of the city anyway.

End Online Chapter 40

Editors: Dyngari, Templar, Jack Vanatis, genericIntent, Orang
Author’s notes: Several pieces of news. First is a big welcome to our two new editors: Dyngari amd Orang. Thank you to everyone who applied for the editor position, there were quite a lot of you and your willingness to help is more than one man can ask for. Unfortunately I couldn’t choose you all, but I hope that if any new editors are required in the future, you will apply again.
I have received a few words from our new editors for you all.
Dyngari – “Hi all, I’m your new editor for End Online, Dyngari! I’m glad to be working on a fun web serial that I’ve been enjoying for a bit over a year now; Yoroshiku ne!”
Orang – (Orang has opted for the ye’ olde tradition of editor silence. Perhaps next time!)
Lastly, today is a double chapter release! I have been holding back despite editing finished as writing Chapter 42 was my top priority. Chapter 41 and all updates to ToC and links will be posted shortly. More news too.

Chapter 40 – Temple Trap

– Lost –

“Gladox? You’re the Gladox?!” I can’t help but cry out in surprise.

When I look at the four-eared wolf man, I can indeed see similarities between him and the famous player Gladox. However, there are a few differences, making me wonder if it is actually him.

The biggest difference is the armor, which is a deep obsidian color instead of the silver armor I saw on his videos. His sword is also different, but I can understand changing equipment as you get stronger, even if I haven’t done it that much myself. No, the main problem I have with him being Gladox is his height.

End Online: Chapter 39

Editors: Templar, Jack Vanatis, genericIntent
Author’s notes: I know many of you have waited for End Online to be resumed and are not happy with the time in between releases. I have been stuck with writing for a while – not writers block, but everytime I start writing I end up falling asleep! Quite frustrating, but I spent all of today cleaning the house, doing the washing, and redoing the chapter plan to give me fresh motivation for writing. Some of you may not understand what I mean, but imagine I currently have 80% motivation. I need to have 100% motivation to write otherwise I end up counting sheep.
I’ve got a bunch of pages on this site to update, which I have held off from to try focus on writing EO directly, but I will update them in the next day or two as well. Next and Previous Chapter links updated tomorrow, it’s late and I require rest.
Lastly, it been a while but as a full chapter release, please show your support but taking a minute of your time to follow the link and vote for End Online at TopWebFiction.com! Votes are reset weekly so even if you have voted before, please do so again! ^.^

Chapter 39 – Separate Paths

– Lost –

After making the decision to take on different roles for our new guild, ‘The Wanderers’, we all travel to Iceridge before parting ways. I take the lead with Fen and Mason on either side of me, with Verde, Sir Laurence, Matrix, and CaptainGordon following close behind.

The south-eastern area of the new Kingdom of Dalbe, also known as the former Kingdom of Glace, or south-east-most Human Realm, is currently going through a light snowstorm. A few small snowflakes land on my face, but quickly melt away. I am not discomforted from the cold thanks to my cloak blocking the effects of nearly the entire storm, but I do feel a lingering dampness.

End Online: Chapter 38

Editors: Templar, Jack Vanatis, genericIntent
Author’s notes(Readme): Update on all that is happening. First of all CotE Decision. After constantly rereading all of your input in the comments, I have decided to remove energy weapons from the novel. What will be used to achieve a variety of effects however, is a combination of countless different bullet types and alchemy engravings that can be placed on the weapons (and combinations of the two) Thank you all for the comments, it really helped me reach a final decision.
Next, two pieces of news. Volume 1 of EO has finished it’s professional editing finally after going back between me and the editor a bit. That will be updated to Amazon in about 24hours – and available in 48. I have also secured an artist (the very best, mind you) to create the cover for Chronicle of the Eternal: Volume 1. I had wanted to add another name for the book 1 specific (like Chronicle of the Eternal: Sixty Academia (Volume 1) ) but I couldn’t think of anything that really stands out.
Lastly, I’m going to focus 100% on CotE for April, hoping to finish the book by the end of the month. As a result of this, no EO will be written, so I will release 2 or 3 chapters of CotE. I will focus 100% on EO to finish Volume 6 after that, so I hope I can release 2 books in 2 months.
P.S. If you find that nothing has been updated here and I have seemingly vanished, you can guess with a 99% accuracy that I have just gotten addicted to reading or re reading a book/webnovel. I’m far too easily distracted, and I can’t write properly unless I flush it out of my system. Tonight is my last night of “renegading”, I will speak to you all soon ^.^

Chapter 38 – University

-Lost(Hollis)-

A knocking sound wakes me up. There is no sunlight filtering through the bedroom window, but that is because I spent last night sleeping in my locker with Fen again. The first time was extremely nerve-wracking, but the second time was much more peaceful.

Fen is lying on top of me this morning, her head resting on my chest with her hands over my shoulders, and both of her legs wrapped around one of mine with a vice-like grip. Her face is incredibly peaceful as she sleeps, gently inhaling and exhaling in synch with me. While I can’t see them, I can feel her breasts pressing against my stomach. It is the kind of feeling that makes one happy to be alive.

I made another shocking discovery last night. Resting my hand on her hip, I realized that she was completely bare. I didn’t dare move for a while after that, my heart pounding in my chest as I start debating ‘should I, or should I not?’. This also led me to lie awake much longer than usual and oversleep in the morning.

End Online: Chapter 37

Editors: Templar, Jack Vanatis,
Author’s notes: The chapter you have been waiting for? Well, it’s juicy, it’s fresh, and it’s here now.
The chapter plan for this chapter is available for everyone on my Patreon page. It is possibly the greatest one yet… maybe… but it definitely has the best illustration to date from Cr@ppy Artworks Inc.
As with the new chapter, please to take a moment of your time and show your support by following the link to vote for End Online at TopWebFiction. Remember, your vote will only last a week, but I will only ask you to do so with each full chapter release. More motivation for me to write faster!

Chapter 37 – Ruminu Forgotten Temple

– Lost –

After Matrix interrupts Fen and me, the camp is incredibly awkward. The entire site is silent, and not-so-subtle glances are constantly sent my way. Fen stands next to me as I practice my ‘Potion Production’, eyeing the concoctions nervously.

‘Don’t worry Fen, I won’t feed these to you. Those other people though, I might,’ I sinisterly muse to myself.

Once the morning cleanup is finished, I challenge everyone’s glances before saying, “Nothing happened! Now, let’s keep going into this forest.”

End Online: Chapter 36

Editors: genericIntent, Templar, Jack Vanatis, Johnist, Scott
Author’s notes: The first chapter of Volume 6! All the editors pitched in for this chapter, which was a nice surprise. Chapter 37 hasn’t been written yet. But writing will start in 2 days, and hopefully be done within 5 or 6 days from now.
There is no chapter plan for this chapter on my Patreon as this chapter and chapter 37 are a part of the same plan. To avoid spoilers, it will be released with the next chapter.
As this is a full chapter release. It is greatly appreciated if you can show your support to take a minute of your time to follow the link and vote for End Online at TopWebFiction.com! Votes are reset weekly so even if you have voted before, please do so again! ^.^

Chapter 36: Kano City

-Lost-

Grey mist completely surrounds me upon entering the teleportation circle in Grael’s Lair. It gradually begins to clear, revealing a bustling square within a city of timber and stone houses no more than two or three stories tall. The sounds of players bartering and forming parties fill the air, along with what seems to be several flocks of birds cawing in the distance.

I’m surrounded by other players and NPCs; most of them have perky cat ears atop their heads and tails that sway as they walk. The remaining players are mainly humans, but I occasionally see a few other races.

‘There are some differences in the cat traits among players,’ I muse to myself, staring at the different colored and shaped ears and tails. ‘I never got an option to customize my looks upon becoming an ‘Eternal Draconian’, could it just be random?’ Continue reading →
